We have created a handy guide to our selection process below we have detailed each of our stages and provided some useful tips. Be sure to check out our blog for some advice on going through an assessment process from members of the PPS team.
The form contains a mixture of general and competency based questions, along with sections for you to share your academic information and qualifications with us.
Read through the form carefully and follow the guidelines for answering each question complete all sections of the form. This is your chance to showcase your skills and make a good first impression. Back your answers with evidence and examples these can come from any part of your life work, academic activities, societies you are a member of, sports, training schemes, voluntary work etc. At each stage of the process, remember to research PPS.
You can print the form to make a draft copy first alternatively; you can save your form at any point and return to complete it at any time before the deadline. Before you submit, please check your form for any spelling or grammatical errors.
Once we receive your application, it will be fully reviewed by a member of our recruitment team. You will be notified shortly after regarding the progress of your application.
We will want to ask you about your motivation for the role you have applied for and about PPS as well as some competency-based questions.
It is essential that you prepare for this as you would if it was a face-to-face interview. The job advert and our website should provide ample information on the type of candidate we are looking for. Refer back to these when you start thinking about how you could demonstrate that you fit the bill.
As with our application form, aim to provide a different example for each competence we want to get to know you outside of just your studies or just your extra-curricular activities. Remember to focus on YOUR personal contribution too we want to know what your role was, how you felt and what you learnt.
The interview itself is competency-based and this is our way of assessing your suitability for the role you applied for. This is also your chance to get an insight into what PPS can offer you.
Following the interview, you will be notified shortly of the selection process outcome
